Welcome to Silvio's Italian Restaurant, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Louisville, KY. Known for its authentic Italian cuisine and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Silvio’s is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience that captures the essence of Italy right here in the United States.

At Silvio's, the menu offers a delightful array of classic Italian dishes that promise to tantalize your taste buds. Start your culinary journey with the Bruschetta, a symphony of toasted garlic bread topped with marinated tomatoes, cheese, onions, and fresh basil for just $10.00. For seafood lovers, the Shrimp Scampi is a must-try. Sautéed in garlic butter, olive oil, and wine, this dish is both rich and comforting at just $16.00.

The pasta dishes are where Silvio's truly shines. Indulge in the Meatball Lasagna, which features layers of Nonna's cheese lasagna paired perfectly with homemade meatballs, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmigiana Reggiano for $24.00, or go for the Ravioli stuffed with five cheeses and drizzled with Silvio's marinara at $18.00. Want to elevate your meal? Try the Isle of Skye Salmon or add a spicy Diavolo sauce to your dish, both for $15.00 and $5.00 respectively.

The ambiance at Silvio's reflects a cozy Italian home, where the aromas of garlic and herbs fill the air, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. As you relish your meal, you might even find the chef-owner, Silvio himself, visiting tables to share a laugh or two, contributing to the restaurant's warm and familial atmosphere. Patrons have often highlighted this personal touch in reviews, noting how it makes them feel like part of the Silvio's family. One customer, Juanita French-Marzian, described her date night here as “to die for” with fall-off-the-bone pork chops and a great atmosphere.

While the food is undoubtedly a star, the service shines equally bright. Customers like Pam Greenwell have praised the gracious staff and the inviting hostess who balances table turnover with the need for a relaxed dining experience. This balance keeps diners coming back again and again. As Lori Batlle put it, “Stepping into Silvio's is like being welcomed into an Italian home filled with friends and neighbors.”

However, be sure to book a reservation to avoid any wait times, as the restaurant can fill quickly, especially during peak hours. Some guests have mentioned the need for clearer communication about seating and reservations, but the culinary experience you’ll find at Silvio’s is well worth the visit. So gather your friends or family, and embark on a flavorful Italian adventure that you’re sure to remember fondly. Whether you indulge in the rich flavors of the meatball lasagna, savor the refreshing bruschetta, or delight in the lively atmosphere, Silvio's Italian Restaurant is ready to welcome you for your next meal.

I had the chicken Parmigiana and my wife had the penne à la vodka… The food was prepared perfectly, and I must say the sauces were wonderful… We finished the evening with a lemon cello cake, and amaretto and wonderful conversation with Karen the chef’s wife. Afterwards, my wife and I went home and made love three times. Viva Italia!

Pretty good Italian food. I liked the seafood pasta. The owner (Silvio?) came by and was a bit handsy with some of the young women in my group, which made them uncomfortable.

My family, while visiting Louisville , wanted an Italian dinner. I discovered Silvio's had long history in Louisville and chose to dine there. We arrives shorly after the restaurant opened. We has the place to ourselves. In a short time the restaurant was packed as you can see in the photos. We were welcomed by the owner, Bill, who took time to chat with us, recomment a great chianti and talked a little about the evening's choices. I asked about the shrimp and polenta. Bill said I would love it because the polenta was crisped that offered a rustic take to the dish. I started with a Caesar salad that hit all the right notes ... served room temperature with crisp romaine and parm crusted crotons tossed with a wonderful dressing and shaved parm. The shrimp and polenta knocked it out of the park. The Chianti Classico was as comforting and smooth as a kiss under the Tuscan sun. Other members of the family had wonderful dinners of veal parm and the seafood pasta. Our service was spot on. Satisfied to the full, we split a serving of lemoncella cake. Silvio's is a great Italian experience. There is ample parking and the restaurant is easily accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Was a very good dining experience for the wife and I. Grilled chicken Alfredo and seafood pasta. The Calamari appetizer was among the best I've had. The service was fantastic as well and I would definitely love to return.

Delicious assortment of Italian fare served by gracious staff, welcoming hostess who strives to keep tables turning but mindful of giving you ample time to dine and relax. Pricing was fair and portions generous. Chef visited each table. You can see why this has survived tome! We're going back again and again. Molto bene!

The food was amazing! We had the meatball lasagna, rice balls and cannolis. All was top notch. The owner was super nice and we loved how he came around to the tables. The waitress was very nice and always available as was the water guy. My only complaint was the lady seating people was rude. Said they had a table but we had to leave by 6pm. We had no idea that we needed reservations as Google didn't say anything about needing reservations. We almost walked out due to her rudeness. Glad we didn't but she was rude to others as well, like telling the people in front of us to close the door so it does get hot in there. Highly recommend the place but hope they do something about the rudeness of the hostess!

Was traveling for a conference and we found this gem! This restaurant is like stepping into an Italian home filled with friends and neighbors. The owners are on site and make a point to be sure you are comfortable and enjoying your meal. We had the eggplant which was the best eggplant I’ve had, crispy and flavored perfectly. We asked for the spicy red sauce which was incredible! Everyone was raving about their dishes. Highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
